Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Unroller mobile application (the “Application”), provided by Mohamed Makled (the “Service Provider”), handles information.

Privacy at a glance

Your photos and videos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to the Service Provider, Amplitude, or RevenueCat. The Application does not display ads and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Photos and videos

With your permission, the Application accesses your photo library so you can review, organize, and manage photos and videos. This processing happens locally on your device. The Service Provider does not receive or store photo or video contents, filenames, or Photos-library identifiers.

Analytics information

If anonymous analytics are enabled, the Application uses Amplitude to understand app performance and feature usage. This may include:

  • App lifecycle and session activity.
  • Onboarding progress, selected app preferences, and photo-permission results.
  • Aggregate library counts, such as the number of photos, videos, screenshots, and Live Photos. These counts do not include the underlying media.
  • Cleanup activity, including aggregate reviewed, kept, and deleted counts and broad storage-size ranges.
  • Paywall interactions and purchase-flow outcomes.
  • Technical information such as app version, operating-system version, device model, platform, and a pseudonymous analytics device identifier.

The Application disables collection of IP address, IDFV, carrier, city, DMA, country, and region fields in its Amplitude configuration. Analytics information is used to understand feature adoption, diagnose product issues, and improve onboarding, cleanup, and purchase experiences. It is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

You can turn analytics collection on or off at any time in the Application’s Settings under Legal. Turning analytics off stops future Amplitude events from the Application and removes the Amplitude identifier supplied to RevenueCat for analytics attribution.

Purchases and subscriptions

The Application uses Apple’s StoreKit to offer and manage in-app purchases and RevenueCat to validate purchases, provide subscription entitlements, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and understand subscription performance.

For these purposes, RevenueCat processes purchase and subscription information, such as product identifiers, transaction and entitlement status, transaction metadata, and purchase history. RevenueCat also assigns a random, anonymous App User ID because the Application does not require an account. The Service Provider does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, photo library, payment-card details, or advertising identifier.

Apple Search Ads attribution

The Application uses Apple’s AdServices framework and RevenueCat to measure whether an installation resulted from an Apple Search Ads campaign. An Apple attribution token is sent to RevenueCat, which requests attribution information from Apple. This standard attribution does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not require App Tracking Transparency permission, and is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information the Application does not collect

The Application does not require registration and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, browsing history, search history, or the contents of your photos and videos. It does not contain third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and the Service Provider does not sell personal information.

Service providers

The Application relies on the following providers:

  • Apple processes App Store purchases and provides Apple Search Ads attribution. Apple handles information under its own privacy policy.
  • Amplitude processes pseudonymous product analytics and technical information on the Service Provider’s behalf. Amplitude handles information under its own privacy policy.
  • RevenueCat processes purchase history, anonymous App User IDs, entitlement information, and Apple Search Ads attribution on the Service Provider’s behalf. RevenueCat handles information under its own privacy policy.

Data retention

Analytics and purchase information may be retained by Apple, Amplitude, and RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide their services, meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, and maintain aggregate business records. These providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards. Because RevenueCat uses an anonymous App User ID, the Service Provider may need that identifier to locate a record associated with your installation.

Your choices

You can turn analytics collection on or off in the Application’s Settings under Legal. You can revoke the Application’s photo-library access at any time in iOS Settings and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Uninstalling the Application stops future information collection by the Application, but does not automatically delete purchase records that Apple or RevenueCat must retain.

Children

The Application is not directed to children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider so appropriate action can be taken.

Security

The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to protect information handled in connection with the Application. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Application or its data practices. The current version and its update date will be posted on this page.
